I'm kinda with the thoughtwave that you should just get another bike. I mean, there is that slim chance that you'll locate it, the owner will sell it, and it will be in working condition, etc... but more than likely, it's been parted out or worse. I'd just be happy with the good times that were had on it's back, and move forward. Regardless of how hard we try, the past can not conjure up the past, all we have is here and now. and in the now you can either chase ghosts, or be working towards restoring another bike that is very here and very real, and that will serve you well.

I am still looking...

Saw at a moto shop in Montrose Co 2 CB77s up on a display shelf on the wall up above the parts counter. If anyone is in the area, they should check them out.

I have a number now, I believe it to be the VIN 51609.

It was titled in New Mexico as a 1973 although it was a 67.

That VIN doesn't correspond to documented Honda records. As a '67 it would have been prefixed with 10, making it 1051609; that would make sense.

Try VJMC. I'm a UK member and we have a "where is it now" feature in Tansha mag.

Where can Honda VIN records be found/had/viewed? I have yahooed and googled and cant find 11 digit VIN decoders/searches.

I was told my old bike was a 67 and after looking at the speedo/instrument clusters in the FAQ, I now question '67. The bike had an earlier speedo, but maybe it wasnt the original speedo. Can someone tell me to what year CB771051609 corresponds? Or like the question above, steer me in the direction where I can look it up myself?

Thanks
