Post by fab60 » Tue Oct 06, 2009 12:51 pm

Hey guys gals....been checkin out the forum for awhile now and finally joined....been wanting to get a cb77 for quite some time now as well. Just wanted to know if the bike was a good fit for me height wise cause im a rather small chap at about 5'7. I've been to numerous shops to look for myself but never got the nerve to ask anyone if i could sit on ther bike ( I would be weary if i owned as well!) Hopefully someone has some suggestions recommendations. ( How tall are you!)

fab,

Usually it's the tall folks wondering if the bike is a good fit because the CB/CL bikes are on the small side. I can speak for the CL77, and like you I am 5'7" and I weigh 165lbs. Folks say that I look large on the bike. I find it very comfortable however and I run lower bars than stock. The CL has a slightly different riding position than the CB but, the bikes are around the same size. I would say the CB/CL bikes were designed with the smaller rider in mind. Hope this helps.

I was 220 lbs when I got my 66 CB77 in 1966, I looked like an elephant on a pimples ass, don't worry about it.

fab,

Today must be your lucky day, take a look at the "nerdie stuff" post right below your post. It has an article that shows a 5'10" rider on a cb77. You can see by the pic, the of the size of the cb in relation to the rider.
