Assistance w/ Serial Numbers...

Post by NICKBARON » Mon Jul 29, 2019 4:19 pm

Hi, This is my first post and I'm hoping I could get a confirmation that the information I've collected from previous postings is an accurate take away... I purchased a CB77 last fall as a 1965 with 2400 miles. The title shows it as a 1965, but the number on the frame is CB77 1046XX... The engine CB77E 1047XX....

My questions...
1. The six digit numbers confirm that it's a 1964, correct?
2. I saw the engine and frame numbers rarely match, but could that be the original engine if it's off by 134?

The white tag on the wiring harness was difficult to read, but appeared to read only "B724852R"

Appreciative of any information and advice... Thanks

Hi Nick, I think you are correct it's a 1964. The numbers are not too far from each other for it to be the original engine but I will stand corrected if wrong, maybe someone else will chime in.
Al.

My 1966...the engine is 26 numbers ahead of my frame.
My original wiring harness reads " YB724852B 1966"
The 1966 is under the YB724852B
