Sproket,

Like your choice!
I find interesting the differences in the foot brake position. Mines a '66. Is your pedal arm up against the bottom of the foot peg?

Sorry for the big image, but next size down it gets fuzzy :(

@G3, it looks to me like your pedal is clocked wrong on the shaft. The top of the pedal should be level or in line with the foot peg.

Great that's the same as on my 500/4..
So hopefully pretty simple..
I will try and look up the correct procedure though..like I say it a whole new clutch so I need to treat it that way too...hopefully it's in there correctly

Looks like the foot peg is bent upwards

You know, I never really paid attention to it until I saw Sprokets bike.
Sure enough, I went out and studied the pegs and discovered the tube that supports the flexible peg was bent inwards or upwards really, to almost touching the side case! Both sides too!
That tells me a little history of the bike huh? Kaa-raash...oops.
I was able to leverage them downwards to were they almost look like the Honda Maintenance books picture.

Don't you just hate it when people find things you missed on your bike?

It's possible if both were bent the same they were done deliberately. .I cannot see a senario where both would be bent the same ...
Did you buy it of off a very short chap?
