Idiot Needing Help on 1966 Scrambler

Post by Aberoz » Mon Dec 20, 2004 8:42 pm

I just bought a 1966 Scrambler Mongrel, which was put together using a couple of separate Honda 66 bikes. First, it's missing air filters, and I wanted to know what new filters I could buy, as I'm not so concerned with originality. Also I'm having trouble with kickstarting it. It has good compression, and it worked recently. Basically, I;m an idiot and need to know step by step the starting instructions for kickstarting this model. I thought I knew, but I'm second guessing myself, as I've had so much trouble. In advance, I'll thank you for humoring me.

Aberoz, Is it simply flooded? Pull the plugs to see if they are wet, that could tell you. Then you'll need to check for spark next and after that check for fuel. Gotta start with the basics! Good Luck! Steve Greer
