Torque spec / new spark plugs

Post by Glenn-N » Sun Jun 16, 2019 11:26 am

At what torque do you guys screw in new spark plugs?
Manual says 9-11ft lbs which equals 12-15Nm, but it seems much to me for these alloy heads?

The heads have a cast in skull made of iron unless it's a very early model, if you look you will see the cast iron in the plug thread area it's a different colour to the ally around it.

Thanks Alan.
Always assumed they were alloy.

Screwed them in at 7 ft lbs, seems tight enough.
