This question is for you guys across the pond. I own a CA77 here in UK but do you have a system where I can possibly trace the previous owner from the engine/ frame number to show how it has been restored compared to how I bought it.

None that I am aware of. Do you know which State it came from when you bought it? If so, you might ask the Registry of Motor Vehicles there if they can trace the VIN. There would undoubtedly be a fee - no agency in any level of government here will do something for nothing.

I tried to track previous ownership of my 65 Dream a few years back. Pennsylvania tracked it for me but records only go back to the 1970's. I don't remember the fee.
