c77 clutch and cam chain tensioner

Post by raydike » Sun Feb 03, 2019 6:55 am

Hello everyone, I'm fixing up my 61 C77. Found through the forum that Goldwing clutch plates fit too so bought some of those. Also tried Gman's cam chain tensioner mod but it turned out my tensioner wheel had a plain bearing so instead of a needle bearing I fitted a bronze bush. The sprocket I bought on Ebay, it is from a Kawasaki. I replaced the primary chain and sprocket too, found new ones from Thailand. Some pictures:

Gold Wing clutch plates

Post by DJM » Sun Feb 03, 2019 9:49 am

Hi,

Always good to find something from a newer bike that will fit our slightly older old machines.

Which are the Gold Wing plates, the ones on the EBC box or the ones installed in the clutch body?

Are they thinner than the originals, if so how many did you fit?

The clutch plates fitted in the picture are from the EBC box. The thickness is about 3.9mm, same as the ones that came out. I didn't try them yet but I think they will work okay.
