ongoing petcock issue

Post by nation » Sat Dec 14, 2019 10:09 am

Hi, petcock had stopped leaking. took gas cap off to inspect interior of tank. came back a few hours later, leak had resumed, only to stop again a few hours after that. question; petcock and gas cap no good? or just gas cap? Nation

The gas cap has two vent holes that are likely clogged. Separate the two halves to clean the vent holes to solve that problem but then again you still have a leaky petcock. Both need to be addressed. Rusty
