got the left case cover off of my 67 ca77 and cleaning it up, should the word HONDA on the oil filter cover be bare or painted black?

I'm pretty sure the lettering should be bare, I have a heap of old cases and none show any signs of paint, what do others think?

Same goes for the Type 2 lettering on the contact breaker cover.

With you on this one Dennis, Honda never painted them.
Stay safe everyone.
