I recently purchased two Honda dreams. I am hoping to get some information on these. I have been reading that decoding these VIN numbers is sketchy at best. I am just trying to zero in on the years of these things. Also are the engines correct? Can anyone help me out?

Frame CA-78 1026965 Motor CA-77E1027033
Frame CA-78 1025673 Motor CA-77E1025696

Any information is greatly appreciated

Welcome to the honda305 Forum!

Go here: https://www.honda305.com/registry/ ...enter your bikes and I will cross check them against other numbers in the registry for the exact model year.

For now, mid 60s is a pretty safe estimate.

PS I am travelling right now. Should be able to follow up next week...

Does anyone have a way of decoding these VINs?

I went through the vintage Japanese club to date mine but there is a tag on the wiring loom that will have the date on it.

Thank you for the link. It kind of narrows it down to what I believe is a 64.
