I used an adjustable c spanner to loosen the left hand thread cam sprocket nut. I blocked the cam sprocket with a piece of hardwood. Some sharp hits with a hammer on the C spanner did the trick.

The adjustable C spanner is similar to this one - you would need to check the size.
