Does anyone have a photo of a series I CR72 taken from the right side? Thanks, Randall

Scram, thanks, but that's a series II version. You can tell by the step-sided tank, narrow low seat, reclining stone guard, frame downtubes to bottom front engine mounts, and shield-shaped right side engine cover. There's a series I from the Seevert gallery below, but it's either a drawing or a rendered photo. --Randall

Thanks, those were helpful for some frame details. Unfortunately, the engine is a series II that has been stuffed into a series I frame. I'll try sending the museum list via a private message.

Finally found a photo of the right side of a series I CR72. It's a factory publicity photo from late 1962, so shows the original condition. Note the flat-sided megaphones, quite different from the series II which had a round cross-section. There were almost no interchangeable parts between the two types of engines, and the two frames differed in virtually every dimension. Yet they were all produced only for the 1963 race season.
