Check This Racing CB77 Out

Post by Tom W. » Wed Sep 21, 2005 3:05 pm

Found this while surfing.

http://www.batorinternational.com/bator ... ge2.htm

Look about 2/3 down the page and you'll find a CB77 vintage racer. The asking price ain't cheap.

It's a cool look and I was hoping some knowledgeable CB77 folks can point out what changes they made. I noticed these:

1. Scrambler front fender?
2. Stock forks with cover removed?
3. Relocated coils.
4. Foot pegs moved aft.
5. Rotated shifter arm (that would confuse me...).
6. No starter.
7. Cool clip-ons, gas tank, & seat.

Anything else? Can we save these photos somewhere or is there a copyright issue?

Tom

There are some ~1" cooling holes drilled on the RHS of the front hub. You can see it in the 2nd photo. Where would you drill the lightening holes on the hub?

Tom

Goofiy me. I only looked at the first pic. My CB77 has one (apx 1 1/4 in. hole) just in front of the short lever with screen in it on the front backing plate and the rear looks to have six 1 in. holes evenly spaced in the rear backing plate. ..........LM
Now that I take another look at the front brakes I notice there isn't a air scoop. On other racing bikes I've seen with drum brakes there's a scoop of some sort on the "fixed" side and the rotating side has the holes for the cooling air to exit.

I also see a black cylinder in between the different carbs Loud Mouse pointed out. I wonder what that is?

Tom
