can someone take a look at the shots of the rocker arms do they look shaved for clearence? cam lobes are clean on the sides . maybe machined?

From I can see of the sides of the cams they look to have been built up and then machined.
The cam followers look to be stock. .......lm

Thumper, pull the plugs, and see if the pistons rise and fall together. It looks like a twin points plate with one set of points removed. Are you tearing in any further, or just planning to see if she'll run?

Hi Dave the pistons go up and down together i am thinking of trying to get it running but will have to put a rotor and electric starter on it first along with a stand. the kick shaft was cut.
the one set of points is/was hooked up to 2 coils

You'll have to change that right crank seal to accept the starter sprocket. It will be interesting when you fear into it to see what other custom parts await you inside. I'm always hoping that one day I'll find a five speed hiddden in a set of old negleted cases!
