Racing front fender.

Post by MBellRacing » Wed Feb 23, 2011 1:39 am

Hey, since the information flows quite freely here, and since the search didn't return anything usable in 7 of 18 pages, I figured I'd take a shot in the dark...

Anybody have any information on how to find or how to make a CB77/CYB77/CR77 front fender. I see that they curve around the front tire much tighter in both dimensions and have more horizontally-located bars that don't hold to the axle, but to the single fork mount only. It looks very similar to a CL77 fender, but maybe wraps around a street tire a bit better and the supports seem to be made similar to the CB's bent flat tube instead of thick round rod. Here's an example I've found around the internet:

...K1 CB450?...

...similar, but without the rods looking molded in to the stays.

Take a look at CB160 or S90. They are very similar to racing fenders. Only the centre bracket is a little different. I'm using a CB160 fender for my CB77 racer project.

Hello,

I used an aftermarket one on my bike. Bought it on EBAY for $29.95. Seller said it was for an S90.
Fit pretty good on the aluminum forks with a 3.00- 18 tire. Had to drill 1 hole each side if I remember correctly.
Came in chrome. Painted it silver.

Wow, awesome, THANKS! Those are pretty much what I'm looking for. I just think the stock front and rear fender are too big and boxy. I just ordered a new rear fender so I can just bring it back a couple inches and look better with a smaller racing-style seat and wanted something to fit better on the front as well.

Love this forum!!!
