Straight pipes and re-jetti g carb

Post by Bmanners » Wed Apr 18, 2018 2:53 pm

Just what title says. I put straight pipes on my 1962 Dream and now it only runs when choke is open and bogs out when throttle is fully opened. Has anyone put straight pipes on a Dream and did you have to re-jet and if you did what size did you use.

The coke gives you the clue.

Go up a size (or two) on the main jet a see what happens. Have you put on something other than the original headers?

This is a good guide. Different carb but same principles.
