CJMC Event, Auburn, CA: 6/3-6/5, 2011http://www.cjmc.org/calendar.html
Many of us local Norcal forum members will be there. Ken will be showing his CL? and wants everyone to vote for him in the "peoples choice" category. Fred will have a booth, I'll have my CB for the first time (assuming my seat gets here on Friday), and will try to sell my 1980 GS 450 Land Speed racer. A Saturday night ride (classic speed) is planned. Maybe we can plan a forum meetup??? I think I'll make a "sign-up" list and leave it at Fast Fred's booth ... "Parts Ninja" is his title. It would be nice to capture pics of all forum members to post. Post here is you'll be attending and I'll arrange a meetup time and place for a group pic. Hope to see you all there :) Dana

BAH!!! Rain rain rain. Diminished crowd today albeit some beauty bikes to behold. Fast Fred set up his mega-parts store whilst Ken B. and I perused the vendors and bike display areas. I heard Sparghett was there but we missed each other.
Several CL/CB's (but no 65-67 CB77's). I decided not to bring mine due to the yucky weather. Davo, I wouldn't waste the trip unless you want to see a lesser number of bikes than what you already have in your garage. There was a gorgeous blue Suzuki 500 twin, and some sweet cafe/road racer CB/CL's. One guy had stuffed a Kawi H1 motor into a go-cart! Also was a concourse quality 1979 CB 750 (sorry SOHC Honda fans ... not a single, single overhead cam Honda to be seen). Also were several survivor CL's. For sale was an unmolested CL77 runner in Blue ... 1963, asking $2500. We thought it a fair price. Great shape, uncommon stock color, and not needing much more than a bath to look decent. I had planned on going back tomorrow, but I'm gonna pass. Dixon, CA in a few weeks, but I won't be there. Dana

Thanks for the post! I couldn't squeeze it in this morning, and I have to run a work party at the dirt bike club tomorrow. It poured here all night, and didn't make we want to get up and go this morning for sure. Now that I've read your post, I don't feel quite so bad for not attending! That CL may have been a 67, the only year they came in metallic blue. Did it have chrome fenders? They didn't make CL77s until 65, so it can't be a 63. Davo davomoto
