Scottish Classic Motorcycle Show 17th June 2017

Post by mcconnellfrance » Mon Aug 07, 2017 3:56 pm

Some of you may be interested to see the bikes on display at the annual classic show run in my home town of Ayr, Scotland. It is well organised by the Ayr Classic Motorcycle Club.

I did not display my Honda CB77 but rode it to the show and had some interesting chats with guys passing in the car park. I mainly photographed Japanese bikes so apologies to all those who are fans of older British bikes, There were some really good restorations of them at the show. I hope the photo link works.

Seeing the Laverda reminds me of a question I have had for a long time. Is the similarity of the engine to the CB72/77's purely coincidental? Is the similarity more than 'fin' deep?
