For those who might be within striking distance, the AMCA meet at Brookfield is this weekend at the Brookfield fairgrounds in Brookfield, NY. The Bouckville Antique Show will also be in full swing since it started on Monday. So, you can bring Momma, drop her off at Bouckville and give her half the butter and egg money to spend on old stuff.
Brookfield is primarlily an American bike meet, but you see more than a good sample of Brit, Euro and Japanese bikes. Guy rode in on a 4 cyl Sunbeam last year. And they are not slanted towards HD and Indian for awards, either. My BSA got people's choice last year. It's a small meet, very casual, free admission and good food available.
Friday is probaby the better day as they tend to bail out by 2pm or so on Saturday.
It's in the middle of nowhere so if it is your first time, don't get discouraged and think you are lost as you drive over hill and dale in the hills off US Rt 5. When you get to Brookfield, the fairgrounds are behind the school.
