Have a 66 Dream with Buco fiberglass saddlebags that were thrown in at the time I bought it. Except for a small hole along the edge of one of the top covers (half the size of a dime), they are in great shape but have minor surface scratches and will need refinishing. There are no deep gouges on the surface.
I'll lightly sand the scuffs to get the surface smooth again. Once I do that, should I shoot a coat of primer before repainting? Any type of paint to stay away from? I've never worked with a fiberglass surface before. Thanks.
