Honda Didn't use undercoat ?????

I was speaking to a fellow Dream owner &amp; he told me that Honda Did not use undercoat on the Dreams . So being curious. I went out &amp; had a look at mine &amp; it appears he's right !! Does anybody have any knowledge about this .<br /> / Peter

Honda didn't prime the parts of the production bikes at those times but they did prime the spare parts they sold for repairs. ........LM

I think it was because they used lead based paint back in those days. Now I'm not a paint expert but I asked around and found out the lead based paints didn't necessarily need primer.
