Did Honda use lead in their paint in '65?

Post by Cheburashka » Fri Sep 14, 2012 12:21 pm

I'm about to sand blast the tank from my '65 CA77, but it occurred to me that if it uses lead based paint, I really don't want to use my cabinet and have that lead dust getting blown into the air every time I blast something. Anyone know if the stock paint on a 65 Dream would have been lead based?

Thanks

If it's original paint, it's a lacquer with no primer. Comes off pretty easily with aircraft stripper. Then blast it if you want.
