My Dream Begins (Restoration Project)Petcock screws...?The screws holding the petcock to the original tank were heavily rusted so I ended up drilling them out. In the parts manual I purchased from Mr. Honda the fuel tank diagram shows the part number as 93500-06025, so I found some on ebay and bought them. They don't fit the newer tank. Did I order the right screws?
Dream from hellDon't know about the screws, but I appreciate your tenacity........................D
Search is my friend...I searched this forum for 'petcock screws' and found that this is an known issue. I'll be calling Ohio Cycle today to get the correct screws. It just sucks that the information I purchased from Mr. Honda was wrong and it appears that came from Honda.
Now I'm leary about buying anything without doing some research first. I just figured, screws are screws. I guess I was wrong... because Honda was wrong. So there goes a few bucks wasted that I'll have to chalk up as a learning experience. Trying to spend as little as possible to get her up and running to assess if the engine needs major work. Fingers crossed. Ok, rant finished! On to the next thing: Can someone tell me what this wire connects to? It's a green wire but it has a black sleeve over it and in this picture you can see it towards the end that was cut it has a larger black cover; Thank you for the responses! Hope to post some real progress soon!!! Points wire?

Thanks Brewsky! I was having a hard time determining where it came from. Here is a snapshot of a video I took that shows where the wire was when it was cut;
