What’s up guys…
I’m new to all this, and I really don’t know anything about motorcycles.
However I recently purchased a 1964 CB77. I saw it and just fell in love.
I do think I over paid, but I’ve been looking for a Superhawk for some time
now and they’re really hard to come by, or I guess I’ve just been looking in
the wrong place. Anyways, take a look at my baby and let me know what
you would pay for it. I got it from the original owner and it only has 8k miles.
The engine is sounds strong but it dose need some TLC. Like I said, I know absolutely
Nothing about motorcycles, I just thought restoring this would be a nice hobby to have.
I hope I didn’t get over my head…

Knowing CL's and not CB's, I'd say you bought a pretty good rebuilder from the looks of the pics, especially with only 8k miles.
You'll find someone here has done just about everything there is to do on a CB......Just don't be afraid to ask.

Good luck on your rebuild.

Looks like it has seen some time outside.........however no more corrosion than mine had before I took the project on. You have scrambler style bars on it, but I see you still have the plastic badges on the tank which is a good thing.

If you have the seat, I would pay between $4-500.00 on the low side but no more than $600.00.

Keep in mind that it's value is really in the eyes of the beholder. Good luck on the resto and start saving some cash for that chrome!

Thanks

Thanks a lot guys. You’re right; it's all in the eye of the beholder.
Anyways, what's done is done.
I just ordered the
Bill Silver restoration guide books.
I imagine once I get started I’ll have a lot of questions.
till next post...

chickenhawk, Don't worry about the price now, you paid it cause you wanted it. It looks like a great project bike. Have fun! Kustommusic

From the looks of the bike you have an easy project to do 1. the tank badges and 2. the mufflers look very good and 8k is not much at all badges for a dream are 300 + and mufflers are 500 + and I bet that yours are worth that. I would think around $1000 on the high end. But I will tell you when you get it on the road well no $$ will replace it.
good deal glad to see your not going to part it.
