PS I am a 90s import junky as well. I have built a few high HP VR4's and still have my 91 Celica Alltrac.

Your Dream sounds very similar to mine, 16K, original finish, routine maintenance only, starts and runs good. I am curious, what top speed do you get?

I'm pretty sure I've seen 75? Speedo doesn't work. and I've maintained 65+ for 20+ min. The bikes no fun at those speeds with its micky mouse suspension though. It also broke both the tail light bolts, their mounts, lost the tail light and cracked the lisence plate around both bolts. The bikes a lot of fun on country roads at 45-55. I'm hoping the hawk is going to be a little more comfortable in the 60-70 range.

Steve

The CB should be better but still a 50 year-old design with a reputation for cracking it's own chain guard. I have a few fatigue cracked chain guards to repair..... :-)

took the case apart to flip the shift drum bracket. replaced some wear items while in there and am now putting her back together. yes, i cleaned up after snapping these victory photos. Had to stay up late drinking all that beer so we had enough cardboard for the mockup seat :)

with the CL forks, i couldnt use the drag bars :( the levers hit the fork tops. and the CB tripple clamp (built in riser) didnt fit the CL forks so i cut up the old bars for now (pictured on the cb triple)
