Indeed I am. Hope to tear into it in the next few days and see what's needed.

Got it torn apart. 14mm bushing came part and seized in the gears, detailed in my "bronze in filter" thread. Also causing my kick-start problem because 1st gear was so loose on the shaft.

Obviously the clutch is apart, nothing immediately noticeably except separators show signs of slipping, but I haven't really checked it out thoroughly. I will soon.

Checked out the clutch, really couldn't find any major problem. I looked thru my spare parts, found friction plates (same design) that are about .003 Inch thicker each, so I'll use them. The springs are about 32.25 mm, should be 33 mm. I've got a set that are about 34 mm, the .115 inch diameter spring, so I'll try those. The clutch was original with around 15,000 miles on it.

I have 3 choices of kick-start shaft. I noticed that the spring holes are in different positions on each of them, but I don't think that is an issue.
Middle shaft is one that was in it, I had to modify the bushing slightly to accommodate the splined area on the end, which the other two shafts don't have.

What I am wondering about is the tip to the right of the slot. I'm guessing that is where the shaft hits the stop bolt in the resting position. Is the wear excessive where it would be a problem on either the one on the left or the one on the right? If so, has anyone tried building that area up with weld to save the shaft?
