NN7X

That's a really nice project with hardly anything missing. The numbers will tell an interesting story.

Lee's cl77 saga

Post by NN7X » Wed Aug 05, 2015 7:58 pm

Well guy's ...good news ,bad news.
Found the frame numbers...cl77 1040385.......yay!!
bad news motor number cl 72e 1100090...think I got the zeros right.
So a 250 motor in a 305 frame???
Just means I need to do a motor search.
I'm just happy the frame and vin number on the title match.
Would the 250 be an even swap with someone with a 305 motor ?

So picture of rear hub...is it 305?

Swing arm ?

Front forks a 305?

You got it right L.M.

With those 26mm carbs, you might just have a 305 top end on 250 cases......

Look below the oil gallery at the front of the barrel. It is marked 247 or 305.....

NN7X..cl77 saga

Well...home and tired as you know what but not giving up on my new baby,,,found this on the bottom of the barrels.

Left side front hub

Right side

What was holding this thing on ???
Cant be just the little nub on the side of the forks,,,that doesn't look safe.

Tried some Marvels in the bores and still stuck...letting it sit till this weekend,,will add more but I'm concerned about trying to free it up with the kick start ...
Do I reall need to get it un stuck before the total dismantle?

Hard to tell where this baby has been..13 years of missing information before my friend Ty bought it.
I see red paint in many different places but not on the frame..was hoping it was red but I think I'm going to do red anyway...
Think I'll look for a correct hub assemble for the front.
