John

I realise now that you incoporated a typo in the frame number you quoted (you added an "8"at the beginning) but those numbers are in order. I would guess 1964-1965 as you are only 5000 numbers into the 1964 numbering scheme.

Honda used that system right to the end of production in 1967 without any changes year by year so you can only use other people's registration as a guide if you cannot find the harness tag.

I have a C72, registered in 1967 that has frame number C72 1003424 but I think it may have hung around in a dealer for a couple of years.

Guilty as charged, the harness tag confirms the date as 1965.

John

That's great! Often the number has faded away on the tag. Usually that tag is a pretty good guide for date of manufacture.

I have a front headlamp nacelle if you need one and probably one or two other bits. I have several Dreams that I have been collecting parts for as I cleaned out a guy's garage a few years ago. I shall build a few complete bikes and the rest will go as spares. Let me know what you are after and I may be able to help.

It just takes a while to work out whether what I have is needed for the projects or not.

My favourite ones are the early ones. I have a 1960 US spec 305 and a 1960 UK spec 250. Both in pretty bad shape.

Excellent, I'm looking for a chain guard, a carb and trumpet thingy, RH side cover, centre stand with hook and spring, a brake pedal and I'll also take the headlight nacelle. If you pm me what you want for them, including postage, I'll pay you however you want.
