That was the idea, last year, 2ft of snow, took all day shovelling, made the plough, you guessed it,

Consider it a 4 wheel insurance policy you can ride!

I finally got tired of shoveling and bought a blower last year......found myself rooting for heaver snowfall to justify it!

Is that a rubber cutting edge?

Is that a rubber cutting edge?[/quote]

Don't know about a 'cutting-edge' but its simply a double-row of 6mm rubber strips to prevent the steel blade from damaging the block-paving, not my idea however, I nicked the idea from googling images of ploughs, then made it up as I went along from junk laying around the workshop, I also fitted a couple of castors just to be on the safe-side.

"cutting edge" or "blade" were our terms for the changeable part of the plow that scrapes the ground.

Where "the rubber hits the road"....literally in your case.

Looks like an idea for my blower also, as it scratched up the asphalt surface of my driveway pretty well last season. Also looking into some "plastic" versions, but they look kind of expensive.
