CDI box: How to replace

Post by 305explr » Mon May 12, 2008 6:25 pm

I have a 1970 CB175 with a damaged CDI box. I have NO idea how to get a replacement, or to decode the numbers on the top (ZR906) in order to get an aftermarket one. It's a 12V system.

Has anyone ever had to deal with replacing one of these?

Any advice appreciated.

...um, voltage regulator?

these can be found, this one is on ebay right now, however the price seems a bit high for something like this:

Thanks! I've seen seven of them so far, but none have the same number. Now I just need to know if the numbers are _both_ bike specific, or if there is some leeway. Will I be ok with a 12v "9k" model with three wires of the same color, for example?
