Thanks. I gave it a good try alreadym, but must be missing something.

Will work on it some more.

It might be a plain type of retaining ring with no obvious way to spread it to remove it. Clean it well and you should see a small gap. If this is the case, you will need to get into that gap to lift one end and get it started out of the groove. A knife that you don't mind damaging the edge will probably do the trick.

Please take pics of what you find and post.

And go get yourself a can of BrakeKleen. It's degreaser with a high pressure propellant that will blast areas clean. Toothbrush is helpful as well.

Ok, I got the snap ring off. It did have two little tabs with holes. Tiny circilp pliers did it.

Last question - there is a third seal in the far upper left, with a bolt over it and some wiring.

Do I just ratchet that bolt off?

Or is there anything I need to worry about here to get at it?
