69 CB350 tach

Post by zlseth » Wed Apr 27, 2016 6:50 pm

I have a 1969 CB350. The original tach does not work, so I bought one online. The replacement had one bolt that is partly broken off and therefore too short to attach to the bike. Also, the face is more weathered than the original, so I would like to replace the face and the bolts in the newer one with those parts from the original. But, since the casing is factory sealed, I cannot figure out how to open it up without destroying the casing (like I did with the original one). Does anybody have any suggestions how to crack this thing apart?

Someone may chime in to help, but I recommend you go over to www.hondatwins.net where you will get more help with your CB350 now and later down the road.

I know it's too hard to understand. But the knowledge in the body.
