turns out he is the original owner of this black bomber.
titled as a 66. he parked it some 20+ years ago when he got too big for it and bought a harley instead.
he has the stock parts and a spare engine that someone gave him.
He'll be sending out west into my filthy paws this spring. Super excited.
Not that i'm finished with my superhawk project... but I'm not complaining.

Score Gun! Don't let him see the "Harley Requirements" thread, or he might change his mind :-o

You don't want that. It has a flat front tire. Tell him to send it to So Cal and I'll do it right.

nah. Actually just finished rebuilding my girlfriends cb450.
I still have the timing advanced on the right cylinder by a degree or less, but seems to be throwing things off.
anywho, once I get her bike tune in smoothly, then I'm going to start buying everything i need for the bomber before I even start tearing it down.
Going to try and find that home plating kit thread on here.
I'm not going stock at all with this, so I apologize to the purists, but i'm going to read up and decide which metal I want to plate the covers with. I'm thinking nickle, brass, or copper would be cool. but I think on brass and copper I need to then coat it with something to prevent weathering. IDK. lots of reading to do.

here is the cb450 I just finished.

and here is the rough draft of what i'm thinking of doing with the bomber.
