Proper float setting process for cb160

Post by Jlovvorn » Sun Jun 10, 2012 7:42 am

Anyone have an authoritive answer?

I have found at least four answers online.

Some say 19.5' some 21.

Some say measure from the gasket surface without the gasket, some from the metal lip.

Some say carb upside down, some titled.

Thanks for any help.

Float Height - Clymers Manual and CB125/160 Service Manual

Post by csw6279 » Mon Jun 11, 2012 10:29 am

From the Clymers manual the float height should be set to 19.5 mm or .77 inches. I also have the service manual and measurements in there are the same. Be happy to scan manual pages and send to you.
