Stuck CB77 worth the fix?

Post by tbird71 » Thu Jun 01, 2023 2:11 pm

I've had a nice 1967 Superhawk since 1995, motor stuck from sitting years ago, I want to sell. Is it worth the rebuild cost to sell or better just selling as is...it's a nice one with only 4800 mi blue in color
Anyone care to make me a decent offer as is, or want to talk call me 217 254 8027
I can send pictures to any interested party
Bike is in Illinois
Thanks

The repair is likely to be quite expensive if you don't do the work yourself. I may or may not require a rebore, new pistons and rings and a valve job. All of the parts are still available but again, they are now expensive. And, given that it hasn't run in a while there will likely be work needed to make it usable although the low mileage suggests that the normal wear items such as brake shoes are probably still good.

I don't think that there is a good answer to your question especially from a distance. In your case I would probably just sell it as is.

Good luck.

Thats kinda what I was thinking...Repairs likely to run well over 2K and bike MAY be worth 3600 in good complete running order from what I'm seeing...So that may be the best alternative
