Engine Rebuilders

Post by Cheesehead » Mon Jun 04, 2012 2:37 am

Hello All -

I just purchased my first CB 77. It's all original, and I bought it from the original owner.(!) The trouble is that the original owner had removed the engine and disassembled part of it . The head was removed, and the pistons appear to be froze. I appl ied WD 40 short term to at least keep it from getting worse. It doesn't look to be stuck too badly, but still not good. Anyway, I am thinking I would like a professional to take the engine down and rebuild it properly from the cases up. I am looking for suggestions for expert engine rebuilding services somewhere in the U.S. I would prefer someone with CB 77 experience, and can suggest sensible upgrades to the engine and electrical system.

Thanks to all who reply!

Regards,
Tom
