Post by Pan47 » Fri Jan 04, 2013 3:21 am

Hi,

have anybody experience what carburetor typ and size works with a 350ccm bigbore kit?

I need two new carburetor for my CB77 and want to tuneup to 350 ccm in future.

Should i use still the 26 or change to a bigger size?

If anybody want to sell a non used bigbore kit please offer.

Thanks Christian

I'm running 32mm Kehin CV's from an early model 5-speed CB450 and have had them on the motor since 1968. The motor has a 65mm bore. I fabricated some aluminum intake manifolds to adapt them to my head and to keep the overall length of the intake tract the same as the stockers. The motor runs great with them, but I do have a roller cam installed. I also know of one other big bore motor that is running 32mm Mikunis and it runs well also. I wouldn't think anything larger would be much of and advantage unless the valve sises are increased, but that poses it's own set of problems.

I built up the current motor from CB350 pistons which have to be modified and bought a set of generic sleeves from L.A. Sleeve and machined them to the appropriate dimensions.

I'd be glad to share the details if you want them.
