Stripped oil plug

Post by CBasket » Fri Aug 13, 2004 11:46 am

I have tried to change the oil in a CB77 that I bought recently, but the oil plug is stripped. It's loose, but doesn't unscrew. Does anyone have any experience re-tapping this? Is it possible or even advisable?

Thanks,
Scott

You can pull the whole oil pump assembly out pretty easily in order to re-tap the drain hole. That would be best as you can get to the hole from both sides.

georGe
