cylinder honing

Post by cloudstrife » Fri Jun 03, 2005 10:10 pm

I just got the engine of my cb77 unseized. If I have a local engine shop hone the cylinder to get rid of the slight ridge the rings have left, should I need oversize rings or pistons?

Cloud, There are better experts than me on this board but,,,,, In the automotive world a hone will not remove so much that you would need to go to an oversize. I would think your machinest would be more able to judge the needs of your cylinders after he finishes the honing. Good Luck, Steve Greer
