Camshaft locknut-how do you loosen the bloody thing?

true, the nut shape could prove a challenge but iam sure you could find some sort of socket to fit ...... i gave up hitting little japanese bikes with a hammer and chisel ages ago and i always look for alternate ways .... ;)

Are you aware of the design and location of that sort of nut?
Good luck with a impact driver. .............lm

There is no way to fit any sort of socket on this particular application.

The 'C' spanner works well for me.

my apologies, yes the nut is unaccessable....c spanner looks good.... it gets a bit nerve wrecking when you use the the drift and nothing happens.

Hey all, thanks for the responses. I did get the nut to finally loosen and unscrew (left handed) and managed the get the points-side camshaft out. Such fun it is!
