PETCOCK

Post by fatboy98 » Sun Aug 26, 2018 10:45 pm

HELLO. OK NEW TO THE SIGHT THANX FOR HAVIN ME. OK I PICKED UP A 67 SCRAMLER. IT WAS SOMEONE ELSES PROJECT SO IT IS IN PIECES. MY QUESTION IS THE PETCOCK THAT CAME WITH IT WAS TRASHED IT WAS A DUAL FEED. EACH CARB CONECTS TO IT. THE EXTRA ONE THAT CAME WITH IT HAS DUAL FEED BUT ALSO HAS A THIRD FEED ON IT. WHERE DOES THIS CONECT TO? THE GAS TANK DOES NOT HAVE A CROSS OVER FITTING ON IT . ANY HELP WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED.

from what i understand the later ones didnt have the cross over pipe, or you have an even later model tank . you can get hold of the proper petcock on Ebay easily...hang onto that triple pipe petcock as its made from unobtainium and worth some $$$$

Mago is correct.
You have a 67 issue tank and fuel valve.
No 3rd outlet on the valve and no tap on the tank.
You can use the valve by bending a piece of tubing over and holding it closed with wire or Zip tie. .......................lm

OK SO IF I PLUG OFF THAT 3rd FEED I CAN USE THAT PETCOCK? THE BIKE ALSO CAME WITH 2 TANKS THEY ARE ALLMOST IDENTICAL EXCEPT FOR ONE HAS A CROSS OVER TUBE ON THE BOTTOM AND ONE DOES NOT. ONE HAS A SEEM DOWN THE MIDDLE AND ONE DOES NOT. I WAS TOLD BY PREVIOUS OWNER THAT THE ONE WITH NO CROSS OVER WAS THE ORIGINAL ONE TO THE BIKE.THANX FOR THE HELP.
