any cheaper head light options?

just checked the price for a new one, any ways to repair or replace cheaper? 67 ca77/78

If you have a sealed beam unit, a number of people on the Forum have posted methods of cutting out the bulb and replacing with a more modern item by gluing on a suitable bulb holder.

Here in Europe we have headlamps with replaceable bulbs so that may be an option.

I have also seen round headlamps adapted by cutting a suitable adapter plate in aluminium to convert the headlamp to a circular unit.

Plenty of options depending upon your circumstances and skill level.
