kick start shaft seal removal

Have a small oil leak at the kick start seal on my CL77, I have a new seal, so how to remove the leaking seal. ?

Remove the K/S cover use a punch/something you can drive into the seal then pry the seal out.
Angle the outer edge of the seal hole so seal will not roll the rubber of the seal. (NO OIL ON EDGE OF THE SEAL). ................lm
