Thanks DavoMoto! I'll be posting most every step I can. I can't wait too. Riding season is upon us! You're lucky to have it basically year around!

Fresh paint on tank. A few dents were smoothed out. Looks good even without the side panels!

Sorry, I've been going backwards to update the progress.

Here are a few shots of my son lacing the front and the laced rims.

Currently, I am cleaning the front speedo drive. It is dirty and grinding as it spins. It is soaking in cleaning solution and then I will regrease it. The brake cables are connected and adjusted. The controls are connected and greased. The pistons just came in today (S1 oversize) and I will drop them to the local vintage Honda guru (Phils Cycle). When the new intake valves come in, I will drop them too to Phils for a valve job. I am cleaning the lower motor cases for prep and paint. The electric is partially installed. Some connectors have to be repaired. Before I forget, a big thanks to Davemoto for supplying me with the one rear spoke I lost at the zinc platers.

I've built the carbs. Pretty straight forward.

electric work

Post by eyhonda » Mon Apr 19, 2010 1:13 pm

Electric was not so bad. I made a few mods. The rear running light (white) is connected to the switched battery (green). The hi-lo switch was bypassed and the headlight switch is used to turn the light on or off. I won't be riding too much if at all at night. I've removed the starter circuit all together but the starter (yellow/red) is still intact if I want to add it later. The battery is smaller (3ah).
