Set-up

Post by Dgormley » Tue Nov 09, 2010 3:46 pm

Brewsky, That ax would probably sound better with a good Pro set-up on it. The bridge/tailpiece looks kinda wacked and the neck pickup looks to be reversed? .........................................D

Thank you. My son viewed your remarks and thanks you for them as well. My son is a Biomedical engineer with the Canadian Army and he uses his talents to build some cool stuff such as custom effects pedals. When he was only 16 I bought him a new American Strat and I consider it the best money I ever spent. You guys got some nice looking gear there.

Paul,
my son is an aerospace engineer, but he didn't get his Am Strat till he was 21 and had his own scholarship.
He got my hand-me-down '64 Silvertone when he was 16, and moved up to a Peavy Falcon when he was 18.
Grew up on U2 and REM and such, but now plays mandolin in a folk/bluegrass band?????

Dennis,
If you think the guitar is whacked, check out the player!
My younger brother (in white) in his younger days.........!
The band opened for Iron Butterfly at Myrtle Beach back in the day.
Would you believe he is a doctor now?......I'm still having a hard time with that!
The guitar is a 54 or 55 Les Paul Special, and is being returned to it's original shape now.
