Late 1964 model? Nice find. I think you have a lot to work with there. It's in pretty good condition. Do you still have the side covers from the old photo? I, too, would lose the add-on directionals, but I'd try to fit the kind appropriate to Dreams. They didn't come with them in the U.S., but did in other countries.
Yes they did Seadog in UK & Canada and the CA77 I bought I intended to make it as per UK spec with original blinkers and was lucky to find a pair of OEM ones on e bay that would polish.
I feel what I have achieved is as close to original as I remember the Dream back in the 60s. It is not perfect and not a museum piece as ride it whenever the sun shines and the smile is as broad as the Grand Canyon.

I handled the blinkers just as you did, but I could not find the "innards" for the rear lights. I made up my own, created gaskets and used repro lenses. I still have to cut the lens screws to the proper length. If I can get the engine going and reinstalled, it should be nearly done.
