tank badges

Can any long time experts tell me if Honda ever produced a 305 tank badge? I know of the 300 but not 305. Any thoughts? Rusty

Rusty

Someone on the Forum showed a picture of some 305 badges. But the concensus was that Honda themselves never made / used 305 badges just like they didn't do 247 badges.....

305 tank badge

Sorry Rustywrench you may have to give your 10 bucks back. As a teenager back on n the 60s I remember a guy across the road from me having this incredible new bike I'd not seen before. Went to have a look and it was of course a Honda. Importantly though the tank badge said 305. I thought what a strange number/size for an engine. It's always stuck in my mind and now many years later if I see a CB77 Super Hawk etc etc I always look at the tank badge but never to this day have I seen another one with 305. The one across the road was straight out of the showroom so doubtful it was wasn't original, and not copied in those days anyway. I should add this was a UK bike, but in 50 years never seen another 305. My money is on original. Unusual, maybe valuable, but definitely not fake.
