side view..

im afraid that the floats are too low...

i am judging by horizon at the base of the carburetor. where the gasket lies. I make that as straight as possible and then look to see if the main jet housing is in view... or am i suppose to judge at the top of the floats??

thanks

Floats

Marlin, If ya flip that thing upside down and try to think of its' intended purpose it may become clear to you what your doing. That little clip is the jet needle clip( holds the jet needle in position in the carb slide) if you do a search in the carb section there's some real good graphic examples...............D

Marlin,
Remove the brass jet holder and the bottom (top as viewed in your pic) of the float should be level with the stub of the carb body that it screws in to, with the float tang just touching, but not depressing the float valve piston.
That should make the distance from the gasket surface to the bottom of the float 22.5 mm.

Info here is in error.
Do Not Remove the Jet Holder.
Just the Jet.
Lee shows what ya need to see.
Easier to do if ya have carb on it's side. ........lm
