Introduction, long time lurker

Post by cj11l » Tue Apr 25, 2017 7:34 pm

Hey all, wanted to say thanks to all the forum members. Been lurking a long time getting answers to questions I have had. Restoring my 67 305 finally after 30 years or so. My Dad gave me this bike for my 16th birthday and I drove it for a couple years, then disassembled it with the thought of restoring it. Finally got round to it last year ( am 50 years old now). About 75 percent done, mostly waiting on some stuff to get back from platers. Not doing a concours restore by any means, but putting it back to how it was when I drove it back in the day. Will pop some pics on when I can......

Restore

Hello cj and welcome to the 305 forum!

For your 16th birthday huh? Wow...when I was 15-1/2, my dear old dad bought be a 160 Scrambler. Had a lot of fun on that thing...until....

I loaned it to a friend who pulled out in front of a car and bingo...he was stitched up and recovered ok, but the bikes frame got bent bad. That was that.

Anyway, glad you're here, search away here or google your question and you'll get (sometimes) a redirect here to some earlier posts regarding your questions.

And when you can, send pics.
